As parents – all parents – we need getaways to recharge and be all we can be for or kiddos. As parents of blended families, you have got to make time for you as a couple. Often, we spend the first couple of days after the kids leave on cleaning up after them, only to have to do it all again a few days later when they return. And we have very little to no time to take care of each other as a couple. Combining families under one roof will hopefully help streamline the kids-related activities so we have more time to devote to each other.
